My personal journey is most likely not so different from yours. In my youth I wasn’t exceptionally athletic nor was I too interested in my overall health. I was young, my body worked as I expected it to and thus it wasn’t too much on my mind. After leaving high school I entered the professional world and 30 years of success. These three decades as a real estate escrow manager were successful, but were also quite stressful. I endured a noticeable negative impact that affected not only my physical health but also my spiritual and mental health. I wasn’t overweight and many would have seen me as “healthy”, but the reality was far from this. I realized that my current way of living wasn’t working and I needed to do something different.
It was in these years that the seeds were planted for what I do now. In my early 20s I began to discover the inner athlete in me. It was then that I started cycling and realized how empowering athleticism is and what it does for a person’s confidence. By the time I was ready for my career change (which was really a life change) I was well educated on fitness and exercising. But I knew I was missing something. It was around this time that I participated in my first cleanse and experienced the benefits of whole food nutrition. I realized my true calling is to both educate and nurture myself as well as others who desire to improve their well being through nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices.
I am a graduate of the Natural Healing Institute of Naturopathy with a diploma in Clinical Nutrition and specializing in Whole Food Nutritional Therapy and Detoxification. In addition, I am trained in specific whole food supplements that help support you in meeting your health needs. My approach is not to dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins. Instead, I seek to educate and empower my clients in realistic and attainable nutritional habits which result in weight loss, sustainable energy, and a renewed outlook on their emotional, physical and mental well being.
As a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, a certified spin instructor, and a boot camp instructor I know the value of discipline and dedication. I use these values to help you in your daily nutrition and wellness approach thereby insuring lifelong results. I am dedicated to educating people of all ages to the benefits of detoxification, proper weight loss/weight management along with nutrition and how it relates to optimal health.
The only thing I like more than learning about health and nutrition is giving that same gift to others. My greatest reward is seeing others move forward, proud of what they’ve accomplished and excited about their new way of being.
