FAQ

Q. Why do I need a nutritionist?

A. Most people understand that when it comes to their health they need to change something. But what most people don’t have is both the education to know how to change it and also most don’t have the self-motivation and thus need guidance, boundaries, and accountability. I have both the education and the drive to support you at each point in the journey.

Q. I’m primarily interested in weight loss, are any of your programs geared toward this?

A. In short, yes! The Custom Nutrition Program can be custom designed to address any weight loss needs/goals. This is in addition to the weight loss benefit of the Purification Program. I focus on the general health of your body which produces many desirable results including: weight loss, more restful sleep, healthier hair, more vibrant skin, and lower blood pressure. Bottom line, health and weight loss go hand in hand but it’s only one direction: health leads to weight loss while weight loss does not necessarily lead to health.

Q. What are processed/refined foods?

A. Processed foods include ingredients that are not found in a natural state. The most common processed foods include trans fats (“partially hydrogenated,” “fractionated,” or “hydrogenated”), refined grains, salt, and high-fructose corn syrup. Most processed foods are stripped of their natural nutrients during the processing phase and then are reinforced with synthetic vitamins and minerals.  This creates a food that your digestive track is not designed to optimally process.

Q. How long will it take me to feel better?

A. That depends entirely on you and your situation. As it may have taken years for a problem to manifest, it can take some time to heal. But if you are diligent and stick to the program, you will almost certainly experience improvement in a relatively short time period.

Q. What are the initial appointments like?

A. The first appointment will last approximately 60 minutes and will consist of talking through your health history, goals and a discussion about how we can help you. It may also involve some noninvasive testing. You should bring in all the supplements you are currently taking as well as a list of all medications. Eat lightly before arriving and drink lots of water. The second appointment will be the Report of Findings (ROF) and recommendations. That is when we discuss all test results and you will receive your personally designed health protocol. It will be the start of your journey to a happier and healthier you.

Q. What about follow-up appointments?

A. Follow-up appointments are necessary to monitor your progress and make any adjustments if needed and are approximately 30 minutes long.

Q. How do I pay for my services?

A. Fees are due and payable at the time of your appointment. Currently, we accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard and Discover card.

Q. Do you take insurance?

A. Not at this time.
